The Webb Barn | Rustic Summer Wedding | Heather + Ellis | Wethersfield, CT

Wedding Date: June 18, 2022

Heather and Ellis are an incredible young couple, full of love and joyous energy for each other, their family, and friends. This beautiful wedding was the definition of pure love and fun. From their deeply thoughtful and emotional vows, to the heartfelt and funny speeches, then onto the packed dance floor, there wasn't a single dull moment. You can hear and see these moments in their highlight film included at the end of this blog!

Heather and Ellis went for a rustic setting/decor with personal touches like the newspaper style programs and a family-made desert table.

To add meaning to the location, they chose The Webb Barn as their venue, because it was in Heather's home town with many family memories. The Webb Barn is a 19th-century barn centered in Connecticut’s largest historic district, it’s surrounded by Colonial Revival gardens and flowering trees. The colorful gardens around the Webb Barn was a perfect late spring setting.

See the photo highlights below, as well as the highlight wedding video at the end to get a glimpse into their day:

Bride & Groom Getting Ready Moments

To start of the day, Heather got ready with her closest girls and mothers. They had a light hearted morning. Of course, mom helped her daughter put on her dress and bridal accessories. At the same time, the groom had his best friends and brothers along with his father who is a pastor and led the pre-ceremony prayers.

It was a special moment to witness the bride do a first look with her dad. Seeing his daughter in her wedding dress brought tears to his eyes.

Ceremony

All of Heather and Ellis' closest friends gathered to presence them getting married. To open the ceremony, the cutest triplets walked down the aisle each holding a sign with part of Heather and Ellis' favorite bible verse. After the sermon, vows, and both laughter and tears, the newlyweds happily walked through flower petals tossed in the air as they exited the ceremony as husband and wife!

The Mr. & Mrs.

The Reception

Here you can see more of their rustic décor with beautiful string lights, simple florals (baby's breath paired with fern leaves), and champagne. For food they had a pizza truck making fresh pizza on the spot! How cool is that?! Talking about food, they had a special table of deserts that were made with love by various family members!

At the end of the night, Heather and Ellis were sent off in their timeless vintage black Volkswagen Beetle!!
